The Letcher County is a recipient of $7.1 million in Coal Severance Tax in this year's state budget. Through the efforts of our representatives, Howard Cornett and Ray Turner, the money would be spent on a variety of needs including education, public safety, recreation, economic development, water & sewer concerns. Of this amount, Lillian Webb Memorial Library in Neon will receive $150,000.00 for renovations.

We are appreciative of our representatives' support and we look forward to an improved and a beautiful library in Neon. When this facility is remodeled, it will be a wonderful cultural, educational and recreational center for the community.

We thank our representatives for their support to our libraries!
