The Halloween Party was on October 28, 2005.
Halloween Party:
The library's annual Halloween party will be on October
28, 2005 at 6:00 PM at the Harry M. Caudill Memorial Library. Come
dressed in your favorite custome and win a prize! Come and listen to renowned
storyteller Angie Debord. She will spice this
event with delightful and scary ghost stories.
Enjoy a memorable night of games, stories, music, contests and prizes!
We are online!! The collection of the Harry M. Caudill Memorial Library, the three branches and the bookmobile are now online. Check out our collection by author, title, subject and series. Our catalog will inform you of the availability of any of our materials. Patrons can also check their loan history and put holds to books by accessing the LOG ON Button with your own patron card and pin number.
Christmas event!! The City of Whitesburg will hold its annual Christmas Parade on December 2, 2005. This event will be an all day affair. Food booths, arts, crafts, and the parade will start at 6:00PM. Refreshments will be served at the library and photos with Santa will be taken.
Bob Sloan, Jim Webb, Ked Sanders, Bruce Hopkins, Nancy Kelly Allen and Margaret Jessee Phelps will read from their books at the Library on September 21, 2005 during Mountain Heritage Day. The event will start with a book signing at 11:00AM to 12:00PM. After a break for refreshments at 12:00-1:00PM, the panel of authors will read selections from their books from 1:00 to 2:30PM.
Awarding of prizes to winners of theMountain Heritage Essay and Poetry contest will follow at 2:30-3:00PM. This event is free and financed with LSTA Grant from the Department of Libraries and is a part of the WRITE project.
